"The Panhandlers Steel Band"
There is nothing like the sound of a BIG steel band and with 17+ members the Panhandlers are the biggest in Vermont! This group has been playing since 2002 and has developed a strong and fun repertoire. They have played at the All New England Steel Band Festival with up to 25 other Bands from 2003-2007 and have been featured at Vermont's Quechee Balloon Festival , The Tunbridge Worlds Fair , Rutland Ethnic Festival, and The League of New Hampshire Craftsmen's Fair . The Panhandlers are an excellent choice for large parties, festivals, and concerts.

I took part in The Prouty yesterday. I have been walking the past couple of
years, but my team decided to do the 20 mile bike route yesterday. I knew about
that last big hill on the route, so I was busy psyching myself up for that when
I heard music at the bottom of the hill. I thought I was halucinating.
I don't know if this was the first year The Panhandlers have played on the hill,
but please say you'll be back next year! I had to stop and enjoy the music 1/2 way
up, it was just awesome!! It was great motivation to keep moving, or in my
case, a reason to take a break to catch my breath.
Keep up the great music!! - Joanne Cournoyer
